FAQ

What should I wear to the wedding events?

Traditional Nepali or South Asian attire is very welcome, but absolutely not required. Formal/semi-formal Western attire works beautifully too.

What should I expect at a Nepali wedding ceremony?

Our ceremony will include traditional Nepali/Hindu wedding rituals, many of which may be new to some of our guests. We’ll provide a little context for the traditions along the way.

How long is the wedding ceremony?

Nepali weddings can be longer than Western ceremonies and include several different rituals. Guests are welcome to watch, mingle, eat, take breaks, and enjoy the celebration throughout.

Will the wedding and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Both will be outdoors.

Do I need a visa to visit Nepal?

Nepal offers visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, but requirements depend on your nationality. Please check Nepal’s current immigration requirements before traveling.

Do you have a gift registry?

No registry! Having you celebrate with us in Nepal is more than enough. But if you’d still like to give us something, you can Venmo us at @PR172.
